Summary
Rikuo Nura is a unique hybrid, composed of three-quarters human and one-quarter yokai heritage. Born to Rihan and Wakana Nura, he is the grandson of the legendary Nurarihyon and Yohime, a lineage that eventually crowns him as the third and current head of the Nura Clan. His mixed blood grants him two distinct physical manifestations: a human form, often referred to as his "day" form, and a powerful yokai form known as his "night" form. Originally, he could only maintain the latter during darkness, though his control over his abilities evolves over time. Initially, Rikuo was deeply reluctant to embrace his yokai side or his destiny as the clan successor. This hesitation stemmed from negative experiences at school, where he was mocked for discussing yokai. However, as he matures, he comes to understand that his dual heritage provides him with the unique strength to protect both humans and yokai alike. This realization leads him to fully accept his identity and assume his rightful place as the third leader of the Nura Clan. In a significant display of loyalty and camaraderie, he has officially exchanged sakazuki with several key yokai, including Zen, Kubinashi, Tsurara, Jami, Kappa, Kurotabo, and Aotabo.
