Summary
Amiboshi, born as Kōtoku Bu under the Neck star, is a Seiryū Celestial Warrior and the elder twin of Suboshi. Hailing from Tenryō in San'un Province of the Kutō Empire, he possesses the unique ability to emit chi through his mouth and channel it via a flute to manipulate the minds of others. He holds the instrument to his left side when using this power, but to the right when playing for music. Working as a spy, his demeanor is typically tranquil and reserved, though he can turn single-minded and merciless when driven. Prior to Miaka's arrival in the Universe of Four Gods, he was a kind young man devoted to protecting his younger brother. Following orders from Nakago, he initially impersonated Chiriko, only to be thrown into a river and presumed dead. Rescued by an elderly couple, he feigned amnesia and was adopted as Kaika. Although he saved Miaka during her search for the Shinzahō, he pretended not to know her. As events unfold, Amiboshi finds himself torn between his loyalty to the Celestial Warriors of Seiryū and those of Suzaku.
