Summary
Ginei Morioka, affectionately known as Gin, is a werewolf and the president of the Newspaper Club at Yokai Academy. A second-year student who advances to third-year status, he speaks with a distinct Osakan dialect. Initially introduced as an antagonist to Tsukune, Ginei gradually evolves into a protective older brother figure for Tsukune and his friends. He is a shameless pervert who frequently attempts to impress other girls, though his true affections are reserved for Moka. Within the club, he is notorious for delegating all responsibilities, including paper distribution, to his subordinates. His reputation in his first year was defined by his fighting prowess, earning him the moniker "Mad Dog" Morioka until San defeated him in combat. Although he attempts to curb his lecherous behavior to avoid being labeled a pervert by the student body, he reverts to his original nature in the anime. Despite his flaws, Ginei proves to be a loyal friend, often supplying the group with crucial information while maintaining his characteristic lewd persona.
