Summary
Eri is one of the three classmates of Kagome Higurashi in the present day, known for being quite nosy regarding her friend's personal life. Along with her peers, she frequently pressures Kagome to pursue Hojo, a popular schoolboy who harbors a clear admiration for her. Initially, upon hearing Kagome’s seemingly bizarre descriptions of InuYasha, the group encouraged her to abandon him. However, their attitude shifted in later episodes, and they began to refer to him as "Mr. Possessive." By episode 160, titled "The Lucky But Two-Timing Scoundrel!", the girls finally meet InuYasha in person. They find his exotic appearance intriguing and officially approve of him, a development that brings considerable happiness to Kagome. Distinguished by her shoulder-length black hair, Eri is particularly focused on Kagome’s romantic well-being. She consistently brings up Kagome’s potential suitors, specifically InuYasha and Hojo, and is unafraid to voice her strong opinions about them. Throughout the series, Eri is often seen tapping her foot or fingernails, a mannerism that some fans interpret as a sign of wariness, typically directed toward Kagome.
