Jinmen
Summary
Jinmen is a devil characterized by a turtle-like shell that bears the faces of every human he has consumed. Rather than killing his victims, he keeps them alive as an integral part of his own being. In the manga, his niece Miki’s relative, Sachiko, becomes one of his victims, while the OVA adaptation features Akira’s mother as his prey. In Devilman Crybaby, Jinmen takes on the role of Akira’s father, having also consumed Akira’s mother. His visual design appeared at the start of the first OVA with a look similar to the manga, though it was altered for the second OVA. The confrontation between Jinmen and Akira in Cyborg 009 VS Devilman is considered the most faithful adaptation of their battle.
