Summary
Saichourou, known in the original Japanese version only as "The Eldest," is the oldest and wisest surviving Namekian. He is one of just two known survivors of a cataclysmic climate shift that devastated Namek several hundred years before the series' events, the other being Kami, who was once united with King Piccolo before separating from his inner evil. Guru is credited with saving the Namekian race from extinction by laying eggs to continue his species. During his lifetime, he fathered 109 children, which included his bodyguard Nail and the young Dende.
