Godel, Kurt

Godel, Kurt

Summary

Serving as the governor-general of New Osti, this character arrives accompanied by the Megalo-mesembrian heavy magic armored troops, which he claims are necessary due to his fragile constitution, along with a young boy tasked with carrying his sword. He attempts to coerce Negi by threatening to distribute compromising photographs of Yue, other knights, Nodoka, and Fake Asuna. In a bid to provoke Negi into a custody-worthy rage, he deliberately insults Negi's mother, referring to her as the queen of calamity who devastated her own nation. His ultimate ambition is to seize global dominion by exploiting Negi’s royal bloodline and power, proposing that Negi share half the world with him. Seras suspects he is linked to the faction responsible for framing Negi, and he asserts knowledge of Negi’s true adversary. It is eventually revealed that he was the apprentice of Eishun. A war orphan who joined the group, he was regarded as a genius, unlike Takamichi. Although Eishun initially refused to instruct him, the character learned through imitation until Eishun was sufficiently impressed to provide proper training. Following the conclusion of the war, he departed from the group, convinced that their existing methods were incapable of saving the world. He later offers Negi a deal: he will lift their bounty, provide eighteen ships as personal guards for the surface, reveal all secrets, and leave the girls alone, provided Negi attends the ball. At the event, he attempts to incite Negi to kill him, thereby allowing him to join their side. He declares the entire magical world his enemy and states his desire to save humanity. To persuade Negi, he displays video footage of his memories, showing the final confrontation with the "Lifemaker" or "Mage of the Beginning," the battle's aftermath, and Arika’s fate.
