Summary
Verethragna is a deity driven by an insatiable desire for combat, willing to go to extreme lengths to locate a worthy adversary. His dedication to this goal led him to resurrect Melqart specifically to engage him in battle, and he even lent an incarnation to Godou to test and strengthen his opponent. In the Light Novels, before recovering his memories, Verethragna appeared as a kind and gentle individual who cherished sports and the thrill of competing against skilled rivals. However, once his memories returned, his personality shifted drastically, becoming arrogant and contemptuous toward others.
