Summary
Izumi Sano is an accomplished high jumper who catches the eye of Mizuki Ashiya. He discovers her secret identity early on and keeps it confidential, becoming fiercely protective of her privacy. Sano’s athletic career was previously interrupted by an accident where he tried to save his team captain from a vehicle, resulting in a leg injury that made him quit high jumping due to pressure. However, a deal struck between Mizuki and her brother offers Sano a second chance: he must compete while her brother is in Japan, or Mizuki will return home. Motivated by this opportunity, Sano resumes his training. He eventually falls in love with Mizuki but struggles to confess his feelings, fearing that if she learns of his romantic interest, she will feel compelled to leave him.
