Summary
Black Mokona, also known as Larg, is the second copy of the dimensional god Mokona, created by Clow Reed and Yuuko. While he is not as enthusiastic or energetic as White Mokona, Soel, he remains a teaser who provokes reactions from Watanuki similar to those Kurogane experiences. Soel was created specifically for Sakura, whereas Larg was made for Watanuki. Little is known about Larg beyond his ability to see ghosts, a skill Soel lacks. His primary function is to maintain contact with Soel, allowing Yuuko to track the group’s location and provide assistance when necessary. Additionally, the two Mokona use each other for teleportation; one swallows an object and the other spits it out. Yuuko has noted that their earrings have opposite effects: the red earring on Soel enhances magical power, while the blue earring on Larg seals it. Larg shares Yuuko’s love for drinking sake. His name, Larg, derives from the rune Laguz, meaning water, and he is officially male. At Horitsuba Gakuen, he is paired as a twin with a girl Mokona.
