Summary

Lord Enma is a massive red oni who resides in the Other World, where he serves as the judge of the dead, determining whether souls are sent to Heaven or Hell. His character design is based on the Hindu deity Yama. He makes his first appearance after Son Goku is killed by Piccolo during the fight with Raditz. At that time, Enma was the only individual to have successfully traversed the entirety of Serpent Road, but he grants Goku permission to attempt the journey so he can reach North Kaio's planet, located at the road's end. Enma possesses some combat ability, having claimed that he defeated Raditz when the Saiyan tried to break into Heaven while passing through his realm. According to Kami, North Kaio is stronger than Lord Enma.
