Summary
Akira, known by the designation Codename #28, is the central figure of the narrative. He is a young boy, approximately eight years of age, who possesses terrifying ESP abilities granted by the Japanese government's clandestine project. His power proved so overwhelming that he accidentally triggered the destruction of Tokyo in 1988. Following this catastrophic event, authorities secretly entombed him in a cryogenic chamber located beneath the ruined site to contain his immense energy.
