Summary
Hideki Motosuwa is an 18-year-old ronin, though he is portrayed as 19 in the manga, standing at 185 cm tall. He is a diligent student attending the Seki cram school in Tokyo in his efforts to secure a place at a university. Raised on a farm, Hideki possesses a genuine and kind nature but suffers from a complete lack of experience with women. His vivid imagination often leads him to talk to himself in public. While he is eager to find a girlfriend, he also harbors a strong desire to own a Persocom, a humanoid computer capable of performing various tasks. Despite his limited finances, Hideki’s luck changes when he discovers a Persocom discarded in a garbage dump on his way home from grocery shopping and decides to name her Chii.
