Jozu serves as the commander of the 3rd Division within the Whitebeard Pirates, a role that grants him authority over his subordinates. A veteran of the crew dating back to the era of Gol D. Roger, he stands as one of the organization's most formidable members. His prowess is such that he was among the rare individuals immune to the overwhelming Haki emitted by Yonkou Shanks. During the Battle of Marineford, Jozu proved capable of holding his own against both Shichibukai and Marine Admirals, demonstrating his status as an elite fighter. Possessing brute strength comparable to the Giant Squad, Jozu displayed extraordinary physical feats by hurling a massive iceberg at the giants guarding Marineford. This block of ice was so colossal that it appeared ten times larger than any of the giants, marking one of the most impressive displays of power in the series. Despite his immense size, he maintains speed and reflexes that match his raw force. This was evident when he attacked Crocodile, who noted the incredible velocity and power behind Jozu’s strike. Jozu consumes an unnamed Devil Fruit that allows him to transform parts or all of his body into diamond, earning him the epithet "Diamond Jozu." While it remains unclear whether this ability is a Paramecia similar to the Supa Supa no Mi, the transformation significantly boosts his offensive and defensive capabilities.
