Born on July 11, Risa Shiramine is Kaede’s real-life friend who introduced her to NewWorld Online. She plays the swashbuckler class, which specializes in evasion and high-speed offense. Evidence of her status as a pro gamer includes trophies in her room and extensive gaming knowledge, stemming from a past online championship victory. She joined Maple late in the game because her mother had forbidden her from gaming in favor of passing proficiency exams. Risa acts as a genius tactician, constantly devising plans to lead her guildmates to victory and maximize the use of Maple’s bizarre skills. She has an intense fear of ghosts, leading Maple to joke that she could not handle haunted houses despite her in-game prowess. During the second event, she discovered a monster egg that hatched into a fox she named Oboro. After defeating numerous players on the final day of that event, she earned the title "Untouchable Blue Monster."
