Summary
Ibuki served as an antagonist during the Meteor Festival arc in Beastars, later transitioning into a recurring figure throughout the Murder Incident Solution arc. He is a Maasai lion in his mid-thirties who endured a traumatic past, having been sold as hyperdrug material at age 12. After escaping, he survived alone in the Black Market before joining the Shishigumi at eighteen. Within the organization, Ibuki prioritized harmony, striving to maintain good relations with both his peers and his boss. Rather than seeking rank, his primary goal was to unify the group into a family-like structure. However, this vision clashed with the leadership style of the first boss, who enforced an oppressive aura that instilled fear in herbivores and made Ibuki’s unifying ideals impossible to achieve.
