Summary

Gonsuke, known as Gaozook in the English dub, is a robot whose primary duty involves planting and harvesting sweet potatoes. Originally created by Fujiko F. Fujio for the manga series 21-emon and Ume Boshi Denka, he has made appearances in various Doraemon special episodes from the 2005 anime adaptation, taking on roles such as a policeman and a mechanic. In the 2002 movie, his role is limited to digging a single large hole in the Open Lot and offering assistance to Doraemon. This contrasts with the manga version, where Gonsuke and the Mole Robots dig multiple holes in the lot and successfully eliminate Doraemon by deploying police robots. He also appears in the ongoing 2005 anime series as a large-sized robot, with his head design resembling that of a Transformer.
