Summary
Recognized by the moniker "Nero the Sea Weasel," Nero served as the newest recruit within the elite espionage agency CP9. He made his initial appearance aboard the Puffing Tom while assisting in the transport of Nico Robin to Enies Lobby. As a relatively inexperienced member, Nero had only mastered the yonshiki-tsukai (four-power user) techniques, rather than the full rokushiki-tsukai (six-power user) repertoire. The specific rokushiki skills he had acquired were soru, geppou, kami-e, and rankyaku. He had not yet learned tekkai or shigan. To make up for his inability to use shigan, Nero relied on firearms, and to compensate for lacking tekkai, he took great care to evade incoming attacks. During the rescue attempt, Nero tried to intercept Franky but was punched through the ceiling of the Puffing Tom, landing in the chamber where the other CP9 agents were located. He continued his assault on Franky, declaring his intent to kill him, but Lucci intervened, reminding him that their mission was merely to capture the target. Lucci gave Nero three seconds to flee before swiftly incapacitating him with five shigan strikes. Lucci then personally dismissed Nero from CP9. Nero's fate remains uncertain; given Lucci’s lethal efficiency, he may have died from the injuries, or his limp body may have been tossed into the sea during Aqua Laguna, one of the most powerful storms in the world.
