Summary
Karura served as the wife of the Fourth Kazekage and was the mother of Gaara, Kankurō, and Temari. Her husband forcibly sealed the Shukaku spirit inside Gaara prior to his birth, acting in direct opposition to her desires. The sealing ritual demanded her life force as fuel, resulting in her death during Gaara's delivery. In her final moments, she placed a curse upon Sunagakure, expressing a desperate hope that her son would one day avenge her tragic fate and the immense suffering she endured.
