Summary
As Naraku's ninth and final detachment, Byakuya was created to take the place of Kagura. His primary objective is to monitor the increasing strength of InuYasha and Mōryōmaru and relay this information back to Naraku. While he possesses the remarkable ability to generate illusions, his repertoire of powers is extensive. He can control paper soldiers to possess others, summon vines to restrain opponents, teleport individuals to different dimensions, remove his own organs, and construct barriers. He typically travels atop a massive origami paper crane.
