Umino, Ikkaku
Summary
Ikkaku Umino was a Konohagakure Jōnin and the father of Iruka Umino. During the Nine-Tails' Attack on the village, his wife Kohari was injured while shielding Iruka. Ikkaku attempted to protect her, insisting that it was the parents' duty to safeguard their child rather than the reverse. He ordered Iruka to flee, but the boy refused to leave, requiring other Konoha ninja to forcibly remove him from the conflict. Both Ikkaku and Kohari perished in the attack, and their names were subsequently inscribed on Konoha's Memorial Stone.
