Sukune

Summary

Sukune was a courageous man who remained steadfast in his determination to protect his village from the threat of Kandachi. He bore a resemblance to Kaiza and ultimately met a similar fate, sacrificing his life in an attempt to serve his people. Although his son, Tanishi, initially harbored resentment toward him, he came to cherish his father after understanding the significance of Sukune’s death. Sukune was laid to rest in the village graveyard. When Jiraiya first visited Genjutsu Tree Village, he recalled how kind Sukune and his family had been to him, and he felt sorrow upon learning of his death during his later return with Naruto. Within the community, Sukune was held in high regard. He was the husband of Yone and the father of Tanishi. While he lacked any notable ninja abilities, he possessed a level of strength that was considered considerable for a civilian, even if it paled in comparison to that of a trained shinobi.
