Hayashida, Shinjirou
Summary
As Kamiyama’s first friend at Cromartie High, Hayashida is recognized for his (fake) purple mohawk. He is the delinquent who assists Kamiyama in fitting into the confusing atmosphere of the school. Despite being streetwise, Hayashida lacks intelligence, being described as less capable than a gorilla and unable to comprehend even basic mathematics.
