Summary
Cyprine and her partner Ptilol are recognized as the fifth members of the Witches 5. According to Naoko Takeuchi’s Materials Collection, Ptilol is merely an extension of Cyprine’s power, yet the two operate as a single entity. Cyprine derives her name from the mineral cyprine. In the anime adaptation, she is depicted as the final witch of the group. She only reveals her "other self," Ptilol, when directly confronted. The narrative clarifies that they are not twins but rather one person divided into two halves. Cyprine is the sole fifth witch, while Ptilol is a manifestation of her power. Together, they believe themselves to be undefeatable. They prove nearly invincible to the Sailor Senshi by coordinating their attacks, with one blocking incoming assaults while the other strikes from behind. Eventually, the Senshi manage to trick them into blasting each other, resulting in the simultaneous death of both. In the manga, Cyprine holds the highest rank among the witches at level 999, and her death attack is known as "Ribbon Buster." Kaolinite specifically summons her to handle the Sailor Senshi. She hails from the Sorcery Class of the Professional Division at Infinity Academy. Cyprine launches an attack on Haruka Tenoh within her apartment. Haruka promptly transforms into Sailor Uranus, while the Inner Senshi, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Pluto, arrive to support their comrades. Cyprine then uses her abilities to amplify the existing hostility and tension between the Inner and Outer Senshi. Horrified by this maneuver, Sailor Moon attempts to destroy Cyprine with her Moon Spiral Heart Attack, but the assault fails. Unharmed, Cyprine splits herself into two halves: herself and Ptilol. Sailor Moon gathers energy from all the Senshi to create the Holy Grail, allowing her to transform into Super Sailor Moon. She then utilizes her "Rainbow Moon Heart Ache" attack to eliminate both Cyprine and Ptilol.
