Himekawa, Tatsuya
Summary
Tatsuya Himekawa is an 18-year-old high school student who debuted in Chapter 6. Born on April 17 under the Aries sign, he stands 182 cm tall with black eyes and white hair. As the son of the Himekawa Group, a massive financial zaibatsu, he is the second member of the Tohoshinki. He is characterized by his extreme arrogance and condescending attitude, viewing others as trivial and believing that money can solve any problem. His family provides him with extravagant wealth, allowing him to rent multiple floors of an elite condominium, including a dedicated gaming room. In combat, Himekawa is a capable fighter but relies heavily on dishonorable tactics to win. He often hides ceramic tile shields under his shirt to break opponents' fists or uses a shock-baton to electrocute them, though these methods proved ineffective against Oga. Despite his underhanded nature, he possesses valuable strategic skills, such as negotiating with St. Ishiyama’s teachers to prevent his group's expulsion. He is also highly skilled at online gaming, where he plays by the rules until an opponent cheats, at which point he seeks retribution. His gaming prowess extends to puzzle-solving, as evidenced when he solved a Sudoku in five seconds during Oga’s raid on Akumano Academy. Visually, Himekawa typically wears a Hawaii shirt and a pompadour hairstyle reminiscent of a stereotypical delinquent. However, when he removes his glasses and brushes his hair down, he reveals a handsome appearance known as "Super Pretty Boy" mode. This transformation is noted in Chapter 127, where Furuichi questions why Himekawa chooses to use this look. Over the course of the story, particularly after losing his gang and during events at St. Ishiyama, Himekawa’s character evolves positively. He begins to display loyalty to his nakama, exemplified when he stops Sakaki Mitsuteru from attacking an unarmed Kunieda.
