Summary
Sanakan is a high-ranking Safeguard agent who initially appears as a petite young girl with black hair. She demonstrates a specific interest in eliminating the human Electro-Fishers tribe and appears to share a past connection with Killy. Sanakan possesses three distinct forms. The first is a child form that Cibo steals and uses until a ten-year period expires. The second is the Safeguard form, which serves as her battle avatar and can be revived repeatedly. In this state, she utilizes a GBE similar to Killy’s, though it is larger in size without necessarily being more or less powerful. Her third form resembles her original appearance but takes on a humanoid shape akin to Killy’s. According to the manga, the Safeguard form is not inhabited by a Sanakan soul but is instead a remote body controlled by the main Safeguard system. This explains why Cibo’s hack causes all exterminators and the Sanakan Safeguard to freeze temporarily. The true Sanakan, now protecting Cibo as he carries the Net Terminal Genes, is ultimately killed by silicon creatures. After her death, possibly within the net sphere, her leader warns that if she returns to base reality in a Safeguard form containing a Sanakan soul and is killed again, she cannot be revived. Eventually, Sanakan aligns her goals with Killy’s, assisting him in destroying the Safeguard entity that attempts to consume Cibo’s core.
