Summary
Tooga Yagari is the current top-ranked vampire hunter who once trained Zero to become a hunter himself. He lost his right eye in a past attempt to save Zero from a Level E vampire. Yagari visited Cross Academy for a short tenure as a Night Class teacher to evaluate whether Zero posed a threat. He also makes a brief appearance in volume five, where he is visibly shocked by the council's decision to punish Zero.
