Zarbon
Summary
Zarbon serves as Freeza’s right-hand man and ranks among his most formidable subordinates. Distinguished by his long, green braided hair, tiara, and earrings, he possesses a striking appearance that sets him apart from the other soldiers. This vanity leads him to judge everything by aesthetic standards and harbor an inflated sense of self-importance. He possesses the ability to transform into a reptilian humanoid form that significantly boosts his power and ferocity, though this change drastically reduces his attractiveness. Consequently, he goes to great lengths to avoid using this transformation. During the invasion of Planet Namek, Zarbon accompanies Freeza and successfully fights and captures Vegeta. In addition to his canonical role, Zarbon appears in anime fillers during the Freeza saga and advises Freeza to destroy Planet Vegeta in the special Bardock: Father of Goku. He also features in a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 "what-if" scenario where he seeks the Dragon Balls to wish for eternal beauty. Although he achieves his wish, he perishes when Planet Namek explodes. His voice is provided by Sho Hayami in Japanese, Paul Dobson in the Ocean Group dub (who gives him an Australian accent), and Christopher Sabat in the later FUNimation redub (who uses a British accent).
