Yuka is one of Kagome Higurashi's present-day school friends, forming a trio known for being quite nosy regarding her personal life. The group constantly nudges Kagome to make advances on Hojo, a popular schoolboy who clearly admires her. Initially, they urge Kagome to abandon her relationship with InuYasha, citing her bizarre descriptions of him as grounds for concern. However, their perspective shifts later on, and they begin to appreciate him as "Mr. Possessive." In episode 160, titled "The Lucky But Two-Timing Scoundrel!", the girls finally meet InuYasha and are intrigued by his exotic appearance, officially approving of him and bringing Kagome considerable happiness. As the last of the trio, Yuka is distinguished by her significantly short hair. Like Eri, she is very outspoken and solely focused on wanting the best for her dear friend Kagome. Yuka appears to be the most vocal of the group, frequently making sharp, witty comments, such as labeling InuYasha a bad boy and a two-timing scoundrel.
