Summary
Captain Ginyu leads the elite mercenary unit known as the Ginyu Force, a name derived from the Japanese word for dairy milk, gyuunyuu. Although he displays fierce loyalty to Frieza, obeying all of his commands without hesitation, his relationships with his subordinates are complex. He is deeply attached to his team, showing extreme rage upon hearing from Jeice that Burter and Recoome had been defeated and killed by Goku. However, he can also be harsh, notably scolding Jeice for retreating from the battle. His combat prowess is so immense that Frieza claimed no one in the universe had surpassed him. Only a select few have witnessed his true appearance, including Salza, who had to defeat Ginyu in order to assume leadership of Cooler's Armored Squadron.
