Marco, also known as Lasso, hails from Sicily, Italy, and serves as the de facto leader of the X-Laws, a position in which he is only overruled by Iron Maiden Jeanne. Born on November 17, 1973, he was orphaned at a young age and subsequently raised by a priest in a Catholic church orphanage. Alongside Jeanne and Lyserg Diethel, he forms Team "X-I." Marco exhibits extreme loyalty to Jeanne, striving relentlessly to realize her vision of a world purged of corruption and evil. Mirroring her perspective, he views issues in stark black-and-white terms, categorizing anyone who joins the X-Laws as good and all others, including Asakura Hao, as inherently evil. Although he initially appears gentle, Luchist notes that he lacks flexibility, causing him to become irritated and angry over minor matters. This agitation often manifests comically as his hair spiking out and him crushing his glasses, a recurring incident that explains why he keeps three spare pairs of glasses in his shoulder patch. His demeanor can only be calmed by Jeanne or, on rare occasions, by quality chocolate paired with coffee.
