Renjo, Kyuu
Summary
Renjo Kyuu is a bright, optimistic, and sweet precocious detective who serves as the team's leader, renowned for his logical case explanations. While he possesses excellent judgment regarding people, such as openly appreciating Ryu when others distrusted him, he is prone to saying the wrong things that embarrass himself and infuriate Megumi. Raised as an only child by his mother, Kyuu grew up without knowing his father until the age of six, when he was kidnapped by criminals. His mentor, who rescued him, was revealed to be his biological father, Satoru Renjo, Morihiko Dan’s best partner. Understanding the high risks of the detective profession, Satoru had secretly married Kyuu’s mother to protect his new family. After Satoru’s death, Kyuu’s mother concealed the truth to shield him from the dangers inherent in his father’s line of work. However, once Kyuu was accepted into the DDS, she changed her stance and fully supported his career.
