Summary
Hideki Ide is among the select group of law enforcement officers who stand by Soichiro during the Kira Investigation. He briefly departs after clashing with L’s unconventional tactics, but eventually returns to serve in a supporting capacity within the investigative unit. Ide assists in coordinating the team’s operations, notably helping to organize a police blockade designed to trap Higuchi. Following L’s death, he re-enters the fold, claiming his primary motivation is simply to remain alongside Aizawa. Notably, Ide places greater faith in Light than any other member of the Task Force, with the sole exception of Light’s own father.
