Summary

Negi Springfield serves as the instructor for class 3-A at Mahora Girls' Jr High School, having previously taught class 2-A. He is the son of Nagi Springfield, the renowned "Thousand Master" and former princess Akira of the Ostian Empire. In his capacity as a teacher, Negi has established temporary pactio contracts with eleven students: Asuna, Nodoka, Setuna, Konoka, Yue, Haruna, Chisame, Kazumi, Kaede, Kuu Fei, and Chachamaru, as well as one with Theo, granting him the ability to utilize any artifact used by his partners. While he specializes in Wind and Lightning magic, the same disciplines favored by his father, he initially lacked practical combat experience. To compensate for his vulnerability in close-quarters combat, he underwent rigorous training with Ku Fei in martial arts, rapidly mastering techniques such as instant movement, known as shundou, while reinforcing his frail physique with powerful magical barriers. His combat prowess grew exponentially after training with Evangeline and Jack Rakan, allowing him to become proficient in delayed spells as tactical tools. Negi also adapted Evangeline’s Magia Erebea to absorb offensive magic into his own body and developed a new high-level Lightning spell titled Spell Synthesis: Lightning God Lance Titan Slayer. He achieved a feat even Evangeline could not, mastering the ultimate ability of Magia Erebea by using a magic circle to halt, absorb, and counter both magical and spiritual attacks. Recent developments indicate that Magia Erebea marks are spreading across Negi’s body and that he has formed a temporary pactio with Shiori, a subordinate of Fate. His ultimate goal is to become a Magister Magi like his father and locate him while he is missing.
