Summary
Seth Nightroad, also known as Augusta Vradica, serves as the Empress of the New Human Empire and holds the title of the third Crusnik. As the youngest of the Nightroad siblings, she maintains a maternal bond with Lilith and a deep sisterly affection for Abel. Her history is marked by a pivotal moment when she saved her brother Cain from fatal wounds by injecting him with 100% Crusnik, a decision that ultimately led to his corruption and subsequent death at the hands of Lilith during the war. Seth and Abel subsequently expelled Cain from an airlock to end his threat. Approximately eight centuries ago, she guided the Methuselah to the region that would become the Empire, shielding them from persecution and restoring the land’s natural beauty after the Armageddon. She established herself as the heart of the New Human Empire, ruling as a maternal figure to her subjects. Despite her age of over nine hundred years, she retains the appearance of a little girl. To maintain her privacy, she conceals her identity behind heavy veils and voice modifiers, meaning most servants have never seen her face. She is known to avoid conflict with Vatican territories, respecting her brother Abel’s pro-human stance, and she frequently notes his unexplained popularity with women. During an assassination attempt, Seth operated under aliases as a tea-seller and medical student in Byzantium, where she encountered Ion Fortuna and Sister Esther Blanchett. She eventually revealed herself to Abel and Asthe to warn them of danger, intervening to rescue Esther from a puppet controlled by Dietrich. When she activates her Crusnik abilities, her eyes turn red, her lips shift to greenish-blue, and fairy-like wings emerge from her back. Giant tuning forks composed of blood materialize in her hands, allowing her to manipulate sound waves and instantly disintegrate foes using a technique she names "The Fire of Sound."
