Seruhiko
Summary
Seruhiko is a bishōnen teacher who frequently spends time with Nitta and serves as one of the secret mages at Mahora. During the Kyoto Arc, he was tasked with secretly protecting the students on their field trip to Kansai. Although he claims not to be particularly skilled in combat, he proves to be overpowered alongside Gandolfini when Negi's students arrive to rescue their teacher. He survives the attack by Mana's time-transporting bullets on the third day of the school festival, escaping with other mage teachers. In the anime's eighteenth episode, the faculty searches for his missing contact lenses, eventually locating them with Takahata's help. According to the Del Ray manga translation, Volume 9, he is Ken Akamatsu's homage to Serpico from Kentaro Miura's Berserk.
