Summary
Jun Tao is a seventeen-year-old girl born on October 10, 1981, with blood type A. As the older sister of Tao Ren, she serves as a dao-si, a Daoist priest capable of reanimating corpses. Her primary jiāngshī, or guardian zombie known in Japanese as kyonshii, is Lee Bailong, referred to as Lee Pai-Long in the anime. He was a renowned kung-fu movie star reminiscent of Bruce Lee who passed away seventeen years prior. Initially, Jun utilized Jufu talismans to command Lee Bailong, but following her defeat by Yoh Asakura and Amidamaru, she came to understand that spirits possess hearts and cannot be forcibly controlled. Consequently, she altered her approach, allowing Bailong to obey her commands only if he chooses to do so. Regarding her family history, the manga and original anime identify her father as Tao Yúan, also known as Tao En, and her mother as Ran. However, the English anime adaptation presents a different dynamic, stating that her father is deceased and that En is actually her uncle. Additionally, both Len and Jun are depicted with British accents in the English dub.
