Summary
Employed by Principal Kuno to manage the delinquent population at Furinkan High, Hinako Ninomiya initially presents as an elementary school-aged girl with a giddy and excitable demeanor. Her true nature is far more complex, rooted in a childhood illness that required hospitalization. During her recovery, she encountered Happosai, who taught her a chi-draining technique to help him evade the nurses after he stole their underwear. Utilizing this ability allows her to transform into her actual self, a twenty-something woman, while the remainder of her time is spent in her youthful, energetic form. Her personality shifts to match whichever age she currently embodies. As the homeroom and English teacher for the tenth grade, she harbors a crush on Soun Tendo due to his kindness toward her when she appeared as a child. She views it as her duty to correct Ranma’s behavior, a goal he actively resists by doing just enough to pass his classes.
