Summary
Three millennia before the events of Pokémon X and Y, a devastating war erupted across Kalos, resulting in countless casualties. During this prolonged conflict, humans treated Pokémon with special abilities as mere tools, amassing large numbers of creatures, including those with unique powers. Believing that greater power was necessary for victory, soldiers seized AZ’s Floette, a gift from his deceased mother, and used it as a sacrificial pawn. Years later, grief-stricken by the loss, AZ constructed a machine to revive his beloved companion. Powered by the energy of Xerneas or Yveltal, the device succeeded in bringing Floette back to life. However, consumed by despair, AZ repurposed the machine into an ultimate weapon that annihilated both sides of the war, bringing the conflict to an end. Disgusted that the machine relied on the life force of other Pokémon, Floette abandoned him. As a result of his exposure to the weapon, AZ’s lifespan was extended and his height increased dramatically.
