Summary
Hirokazu Ukita stands out as the most emotionally driven member of L’s Kira investigation team. When Misa Amane uses Sakura TV to air a message from her as Kira, Ukita independently rushes to the broadcast station to halt the transmission, acting without direction from his colleagues. However, because Misa possesses the Shinigami Eyes, she kills him instantly as he nears the door and prepares to fire. In the Japanese anime, the character is voiced by Hidenobu Kiuchi, while Jeremy From provides the voice for the English dub. The film adaptation features Ikuji Nakamura in the role, depicting a noticeably older Ukita who survives the events that claim his life in the original series.
