Maeda, Manson
Summary
Monson Maeda serves as the priest of Shourinji Temple and is the father of Fujio, Taison, and Youko. Taison describes him as the strongest father in the world, a claim supported by his steel-like physique that defies his age. His physical prowess includes a grip strength of 90 kg, a punching power of 200 kg, and the stamina to perform 1,000 consecutive push-ups, sixty of which he executes using only his thumbs. Beyond raw strength, he possesses remarkable agility and endurance, capable of running from Tokyo to Osaka while wearing sandals. His robustness is further demonstrated when he left the hospital just days after being struck by a truck. Monson is the direct instructor behind the roundhouse kick, Taison's favorite technique, which Monson also employs as his own signature move. Upon arriving in Tokyo, he famously dispatched a thug who started a fight with him using a single roundhouse kick. Despite his formidable abilities, he harbors a distinct weakness: a hatred for doctors. Now in his fifties, his physical condition appears to have declined slightly, though Fujitake remains confident he will live to be 150. In his youth, he was the inaugural leader of the Kyokuto High School gang, establishing the lineage of Kyokuto vigilante leaders, and currently stands as an elder statesman to Tatsuyoshi and the others. While his actions are often so unreasonable that he cannot be considered a true man of faith, he maintains strict adherence to his own moral code. This integrity led him to kick Fujio after discovering the younger man was swindling women, and he frequently laments that Kyokuto High School, where his younger brothers study, is dominated by an evil gang leader. His name is derived from the former professional boxer Carlos Monzón.
