Aburame, Torune

Summary

Torune served as a ninja within Konohagakure, belonging to the Aburame clan while holding a high-ranking position in Root. He typically concealed the lower half of his face behind a mask that featured integrated glasses, a design standard for his clan, and wore a short black jacket with red strands over his shoulders, mirroring the attire of Sai and his partner Fū. This style likely signaled his allegiance to Root. His ensemble also included a high-collared black outfit with a red sash, an apron-like garment over his pants reminiscent of Neji Hyūga's style, multiple pouches, and black gloves. Upon his initial introduction, he appeared as a typical Konoha ANBU, complete with a white cloak and mask. Danzō identified Torune and Fū as two of Root's most skilled ninjas. As an Aburame, he excelled at using insects in combat, though his techniques were rare even among his clan. He controlled numerous nano-sized, venomous insects that covered his body, enabling him to infect anyone he touched. To prevent accidental exposure, he kept his skin almost entirely covered when not fighting, allowing the insects to spread onto opponents' skin and cause severe, potentially fatal pain. Torune could dismiss the insects with a finger touch and neutralize the venom using an antidote. Shikuro Aburame was believed to be the only person with such an antidote and antibodies rendering him immune, leading to the assumption that Torune was his son. Like other Root members, Torune carried a tantō on his back, although he had never been seen using it.
