Summary
Miyazawa Miyako and her husband Hiroyuki serve as the parents to Yukino, Tsukino, and Kano. The couple’s romance began in childhood, leading them to marry immediately after high school, a decision that caused significant distress for Miyako’s father. When Hiroyuki first proposed, he was beaten severely by the elder, a former policeman who held a grudge from an incident where Hiroyuki was caught joyriding on Miyako’s new bicycle with friends. Hiroyuki, an orphan raised by his grandfather, deeply values family, a sentiment shared by Miyako, who also lost her mother at a young age. Despite their bond, Hiroyuki continues to bicker with his father-in-law, complaining that the old man cannot let go of his daughter. Hiroyuki is known for his affectionate nature, often wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with "Daughter Love," though his daughters frequently tease him or speak rudely, such as yelling "Shut up, Dad!" which causes him to sulk comically. His daughters even borrowed one of his shirts when Soichiro needed a change of clothes after being caught in a storm while walking Yukino home. As parents, Miyako and Hiroyuki are easygoing and support their children’s autonomy, allowing them to make their own life decisions.
