Summary
Sarutobi Sasuke is a twelve-year-old ninja and one of the three prominent members of the Sanada Juuyuushi in Samurai Deeper Kyo. Despite his young age, he demonstrates exceptional skill with a sword. He originally resided in Aokigahara, a forest filled with the failed constructs of the Mibu, alongside his friend Kotarou, who is now known as Makora of the Juunishinshou. As one of the Forest dwellers, Sasuke possesses heightened strength and abilities, along with characteristic golden eyes. Although he participated in most of Yukimura’s schemes, he was excluded from the deception regarding the Mibu clan. Yukimura required Sasuke to genuinely believe he had betrayed his friends so that the Mibu would accept this narrative as well. Sasuke initially wielded a Muramasa blade identical to Kyo’s Tenrou, which is one of the four masterpieces forged by Muramasa. After this sword cracked during a duel with Demon Eyes Kyo to determine who possessed the real Tenrou, he was given the Shibien, the oldest of Muramasa’s Four Masterpieces. The Shibien is notoriously bloodthirsty, requiring its creator to bind it in chains to prevent it from attacking anyone, yet it serves Sasuke obediently. He appears to control Lightning techniques, including Raikoken, which electrifies his sword. Other abilities include Thunder Fire, which summons a lightning bolt to strike an enemy; Thunder Flower Storm, which rains multiple bolts around Sasuke and his opponent; Thunder Net, which traps enemies in an inescapable web of lightning; and Thunder Tail, which connects his lightning to his sword for lethal physical strikes. His ultimate technique, Kirin, creates a Pegasus with lightning wings that burns everything it touches before returning to heaven. Additionally, Sasuke has been observed with the same red eyes as Kyo during several battles.
