Summary
Standing as the tallest and most physically imposing member of Team Kuu, Kukai possesses a bald, muscular build that belies his gentle nature. His facial features are typically soft and relaxed, giving him the appearance of a serene monk despite his intimidating stature. He dresses in a sleeveless, standard white martial arts gi and wears a beaded necklace that serves as his madogu. Kukai maintains a laid-back and calm demeanor, rarely displaying extreme emotions. This easygoing attitude is evident when he prefers lounging in the grass over attending the tournament's opening ceremony. He is quick to form bonds, befriending Recca before their teams faced off in the ring and remaining friendly with Team Hokage even after Team Kuu’s defeat. However, these traits disappear once his madogu is activated. In this state, known as Kukai the Buddha, he transforms into a demonic fighter who brutally attacks opponents until they are defeated, a ferocity demonstrated when he nearly killed Recca during their match. Despite his violent actions, the real Kukai remains aware of what he is doing, and his underlying intentions remain pure.
