Summary
Born on September 28, Aihara Kotoko serves as the female lead of the series. Her romantic feelings for the handsome and brilliant Irie Naoki began during their first year of high school, sparked by a speech he delivered at the opening ceremony. Following the destruction of her family’s newly built but poorly constructed home during a mild earthquake, Kotoko and her father relocated to the Irie household. This move was facilitated by the close friendship between her father and Naoki’s father, who had known each other since their school days. Academically, Kotoko struggles, spending her entire high school career in Class F, the lowest tier for students sorted by ability, and she continues this trend by enrolling in the university equivalent of Class F. Despite her lack of intellectual prowess, she possesses a vibrant spirit. Naoki has noted that while he can handle ninety percent of the world’s tasks, Kotoko manages the remaining ten percent that he cannot. She frequently finds herself in precarious situations, requiring Naoki to rescue her on a regular basis. Motivated by her desire to be near him, she has chosen to become a nurse so that she may work alongside Naoki.
