Known as the "God of Death," Luini, whose real name is Antonio Luini in the novel "Die schwarzen Brüder," traveled to various towns to purchase young boys, including Romeo, with the intention of selling them as chimney sweeps in Milan. His cruelty was extreme, extending to the destruction of Romeo's family livelihood to ensure the binding of the then eleven-year-old boy into a contract.
