Summary
Roberta served as a maid for the Lovelace household in Colombia for four years. While her domestic talents like cooking and cleaning were lacking, she formed a deep bond with the family’s young heir, Garcia. Formerly known as Rosarita Cisneros, she was a former FARC guerrilla trained as an assassin in Cuba and an internationally wanted criminal. Known as the "Bloodhound of Florencia" for her relentless pursuit of goals, she is a terrifying combatant skilled in various martial arts, stealth, and weaponry. Her arsenal has included sniper rifles, combat knives, a shotgun disguised as an umbrella, a machine gun hidden in a briefcase, grenade launchers, spiked brass knuckles, trench spikes, and pistols. Her physical capabilities, including strength, speed, endurance, and instincts, are honed to near-supernatural levels. This was demonstrated when she chased the Lagoon company getaway car, drove her knife into the rear to hold on, nearly pulled the muscular Dutch from the vehicle, and accurately fired a large-caliber sniper rifle from the hip with one arm. Ironically, despite being one of the most powerful warriors in Black Lagoon, she displays warmth, kindness, remorse, and familial love for her master and his son. She admitted to murdering children, women, and others in the name of revolution during her FARC years. Disillusioned by realizing she was merely a tool for drug cartels collaborating with FARC, she left that life to join the Lovelace clan as a maid. Although Garcia asked her to stop fighting, subsequent events in the manga compelled her to return to battle in search of revenge. Her character is heavily modeled on El Mariachi, popularized by Antonio Banderas, extending to her Latin American background and signature suitcase machine gun.
