Summary
Born on May 13, Kokoa Shuzen stands 149 cm tall and weighs 40 kg, with measurements of 74-52-68. She is the younger half-sister of Moka Akashiya and the sister of Karua Shuzen, while also being the stepsister of Akua Shuzen. Visually similar to Moka with her green eyes, Kokoa is distinguished by her orange hair and an "uncool" vampire demeanor. She enrolls as a first-year student at Yokai Academy during the second serialization and anime adaptation. Like her sister, she is a vampire, but her powers remain unsealed. However, she lacks the immense supernatural strength of Moka. To compensate, she utilizes a pet bat named Kou, which can transform into various weapons, allowing Kokoa to wield them with enough force to be formidable in battle. Kokoa harbors deep resentment toward Moka for sealing away her inner personality, whom Kokoa adores. Before Moka departed for the academy and received the rosario, the sisters frequently clashed, though Kokoa never managed to defeat Moka in a duel. She constantly attacks Moka in an attempt to draw out the "Inner Moka," feeling anger that Tsukune can unlock Moka's true nature. While she begrudgingly accepts her sealed sister, her attitude eventually softens to simply accepting both Mokas. In contrast to her relationship with Moka, Kokoa has a deep-seated fear of their older sister Kalua Shuzen. Known as the kindest member of the family and possessing a "smile of an angel," Kalua constantly coddles Kokoa. This kindness frightens Kokoa, who considers herself somewhat insane. Her name is likely a pun on the word "cocoa."
