Summary
Oboro Mochizuki is a rising star and idol in contemporary Japan, active across various film and television productions. He was among those contacted by the enigmatic red calling card of Psyren, but his attempt to expose its mysteries on a local talk show ended abruptly when Nemesis Q silenced him, causing him to collapse during the live broadcast. He was saved from a fatal outcome only by the timely arrival of Elmore Tenjuin and Van. By his own confession, Oboro is selfish and narcissistic, often looking down on others despite his simple-minded nature. Although he enjoys the privileges of his profession, he finds his lifestyle tedious and insufficient, leading to an unhealthy fascination with danger and destruction. Consequently, while most people were bewildered by the grim future revealed through Psyren, Oboro felt his eyes sparkle with renewed interest. Despite these flaws, he acquired a PSI ability called Cure, designed to aid others. However, he has only used it to protect those who serve his convenience or personal desires. Among them, Ageha holds special significance, as Oboro views him as essential to maintaining the interesting situations he craves in his life.
